Susan M. Bilodeau

Susan Marjorie Bilodeau, 88, of Colchester, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Born February 15, 1933 in Bristol, CT; she was a daughter of the late Archibault and Susan (Lefevre) Woodward. In 1953 she married her husband, the late Russell Bilodeau. The couple shared 68 years of marriage together until he predeceased her in 2019. Susan and Russell were “snow birds” and would spend half the year (if not more) in Vero Beach Florida. In her spare time, she loved to go on shopping trips, play cards and dominos and was also an avid golfer and tennis player. However, her greatest joy in life came from her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to spend time with them and was always looking forward to holding and bonding with the newest born member of the family. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Russell (Michelle) Bilodeau of Manchester, Gary (Jennifer) Bilodeau of Granby, Greg (Kathy) Bilodeau of East Windsor, Kathleen (John) Terrill of Windham, Mark (Karen) Bilodeau of East Haddam, and Douglas (Nicole) Bilodeau of Tigard, OR; her 15 grandchildren, Ashley, Kyle, Troy, Renee, Amy, Robert, Kimberly, Nicholas, Alexander, Chelsea, Cody, Mitch, Kali, Allison, Madison, Jessie, and Anna; six great grandchildren, Macknzie Rose, Sara, Nathan, Avery, Audrey, Laura, Mason, Brooks, and her expected great granddaughter Lilly; her two sisters, Madelyn Politis, and Beverly Strong; as well as her and numerous other extended family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a grandson, Jake Bilodeau. Care of private funeral arrangements has been entrusted to the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home of Colchester.
