Susan Marie (Foye) Dydo

Susan Marie Dydo, of Uncasville, passed away peacefully with her beloved attentive family by her side on October 9, 2023 at the Backus Hospital in Norwich.  She was 63 years old.  Susan was born on April 28, 1960 in New London, a daughter of Kenneth Foye of Ledyard and the late Elizabeth (Street) Foye.  Susan Married her beloved husband, John Joseph Dydo on July 29, 1988.  The couple made their home and raised their family in Griswold.  They shared 27 years together before John predeceased her on August 3, 2015.  Susan was retired after a career in the restaurant and hospitality industry as a beverage and bar tender.  She will be remembered for her friendly manor and devotion to her family.  She will be sadly missed but always remembered with love by her children and their spouses, Nick (Jessica) Hutchinson of Colchester, Megan (Ryan) Poudrier of Manchester, Emily (Ryan) Kilcollum of Lisbon; grandchildren, David, Emma, Callum, Donovan, and Dominick; a brother, John Foye; a sister, Lori Daugherty; and many extended family members and friends.  Calling hours will be held at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Rd., Colchester on Thursday, October 12th from 4 - 6 PM.  Burial will be private.           To sign the online guest book or share a memory of Susan, please visit www.auroramccarthyfuneralhome.com
