Wendy Lee Krayeski, 58, of Amston, CT, passed peacefully away on the evening of Tuesday, December 5, 2023 after a long illness. Born October 24, 1965, in Waterbury, CT; she was a daughter of the late Donald J. Krayeski, and Donna Lyles and her long time parter Donna Nolan. Wendy was a 1988 graduate of UCONN participating in track and field through high school and college. She later went on to obtain her nursing degree from Three Rivers Community College with magnum cum laude honors in 2004. In 2003 she married her wife, Tammy Signor, they remarried again in 2015 to celebrate and honor the newly passed marriage equality laws that now includes all 50 states. Wendy will always be remembered as an empathetic soul who held a deep passion for people and animals. As a nurse she helped countless people in their time of need including informing nursing students about the dangers of drug diversion by sharing her own story. She is survived by her loving wife of 20 years, Tammy Signor, siblings Cindy Colagrossi, Michael Krayeski and wife Karen, TJ Lyles and wife Vicki, and several nieces and nephews. Care of private arrangements have been entrusted to the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home of Colchester. Special thanks to the incredibly caring staff at Marlborough Health and Rehabilitation Center.
