William Griffin, III Obituary

William Sherwood Griffin III “Bill” of Windham, CT passed away Saturday 11-13-2021 surrounded by his family. He is the son of William S. Griffin Jr. and Alice (Tarnowski) Griffin. Bill was born 9-11-1950 and lived and raised his family in Colchester before moving to Windham several years ago. He graduated from Bacon Academy and attended Manchester Community College. Bill was an avid sportsman and a member of the Colchester Fish and Game Club. His fondest memories are with his son at the Cohen Pond Fishing Derby over the years and spending time with his family. Bill and his son were also great Yankee fans.

He is survived by his wife Constance, his son William S. Griffin IV of Windham, his sister Gail Kittle and her husband Thomas of Colchester, his niece Jennifer Dauphinais (Karl) of Farmington and his great-nephew Liam Dauphinais.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
