William Robert Veronneau, 81, of Moodus, passed away on the morning of Thursday, June 2, 2022. Born November 19, 1940, in Meriden, CT; he was a son of the late Arthur Veronneau and Edna West. In 1960 Bill married his wife, Nancy Stockman. The couple settled in Meriden, where they raised their family. After Bill served three years in the Army, he began his career working for his grandfather’s lumber business, “William Veronneau Lumber Yard”. He later went on to work at C.N. Flagg Company and ultimately retired as a Vice President of Tucker Mechanical. He was a proud member of the Westerly Yacht Club and enjoyed boating and fishing. Bill also was an avid craftsman; he was truly a master of all trades. His other passion was his tireless dedication and love for his family, friends, and pets. He is survived by his wife Nancy Veronneau; children Robert (Leigh Ann) Veronneau, Tracy (Roger) Silloway and Amy McCormack; siblings Barbara Andrews, Tom (Sharon) Veronneau and Joy (Tom Parker) Veronneau; grandchildren Zach, Chloe, Brendan, Grace and Connor; and numerous other extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at The Riverhouse at Goodspeed, 55 Bridge Road, Haddam, CT 06438.
