James A. Valliere, II
October 8, 1967 ~ April 19, 2017 (age 49) 49 Years OldJames A. Valliere, II, 49, of Salem, passed away Wednesday (April 19, 2017), at his home.
Born on October 8, 1967 in Hartford, he was the son of Carolyn (Congdon) and Theodore Grey of Colchester.
Jimmy was a talented mechanic, working as an auto mechanic in several garages, learning his trade in the Congdon family garage since the age of fourteen. He was also accomplished at building muscle cars.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was formerly a champion at darts. Most importantly, he will be remembered by loved ones for his great sense of humor and for all he did to help others.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, he leaves his cherished daughters, Tori Grey of Colchester, and Ivy Valliere of North Grosvordale; a brother, Christopher Grey of Colchester; two sisters, Lisa Long and Jackie Nichols; a granddaughter, Penelope Grey and numerous extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by his biological father, James Valliere, Sr.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, April 25th from 4 – 7pm at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Road, Colchester. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 26th at 10:30 am, directly at The Congregational Church of Salem, 260 Hartford Rd., Salem. Burial will follow in the Salem Green Cemetery.
